Accenture Completes Acquisition of DI Square Consulting Capabilities for PLM and ALM

Accent (NYSE: ACN) completed the acquisition of DI Square’s consulting capabilities for the integration of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) systems.

The amount of the transaction, announced on June 14, was not disclosed.

This acquisition will expand Accenture’s engineering expertise.

Accenture acquired the know-how and customer contracts related to PLM and ALM from DI Square, as well as approximately 70 professionals from DI Square, joining Accenture’s Industry X group in Japan, which enables customers to digitize their main activities, including the design, development, manufacture and maintenance of smart connected products.

DI Square’s capabilities for PLM and ALM solutions and advanced engineering include computer-aided 3D design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), modular design, and model-based systems engineering ( MBSE). The company is a key partner in the implementation of PLM solutions from Dassault Systèmes, one of Accenture’s strategic alliance partners. Dassault Systèmes solutions are widely adopted by Japanese manufacturers, especially automobile manufacturers, who set particularly strict QCD (quality, cost and delivery) standards.

Accenture and DI Square are also establishing an ongoing alliance to streamline the acquisition of software and hardware licenses by customers as part of the implementation of their PLM and ALM solutions.
