The American Gold Sports Alliance is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit athletic foundation that aims to provide athletic-related opportunities to underserved communities by “nurturing and inspiring achievement in the competitive world of athletic competition. “.

The American Gold Sports Alliance has strong roots in Chicago, made up of leaders and team members who grew up or still live in the Chicago area. AGSA Founder and President Steve “Sid” Caesar grew up in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn, as did his two brothers Ted and Mike, who are also part of the AGSA team. They also have another group of Chicago-area siblings Tara and Taylor Shingler, who are multisport athletes from Lockport, Illinois.

They assembled a team of current and former college softball players and travel coaches to be instructors for the softball day camp. The coaching staff will focus on basic and advanced softball skills, techniques and strategies during the four day event. All AGSA instructors have completed the USA Softball ACE Coaching Education Program and hold ACE Level 1 credentials.

Sid Caesar was very excited by the encouragement from the softball community as the day camp quickly filled with enthusiastic athletes ready to learn more about learning and improving their softball skills. “The AGSA team is happy to be able to give back to the community. All of the AGSA team members have had coaches, officials and administrators who donate their time and effort to make our sports successful when we were young. so this softball camp is a great way to start giving back, supporting Chicagoland student-athletes, ”Caesar said of the camp.

The American Gold Sports Alliance has other initiatives in Chicago, including Platinum-level sponsorship of the West Suburban Wrestling Club in Naperville, Ill., And internships for local high school athletes and students.
