Australasian technology company Datacom strengthens its strategic alliance with Splunk, provider of the Data-to-Everything platform.
The alliance combines Datacom’s knowledge of the cloud, security and public sector with Splunk’s experience in finding, monitoring and analyzing machine-generated data.
“Cyber attacks come in waves, and it’s the orchestration that allows us to move forward and help keep New Zealand and Australia cybersecurity,” says Mark Micklefield, Managing Director Datacom cybersecurity services.
“By working with Splunk to gain key data-driven insights, Datacom’s team of cybersecurity experts can help organizations learn from the behavior of their adversaries to mitigate and reduce future risk.
“Datacom’s deep cybersecurity expertise, supported by our breadth of operational knowledge, allows us to leverage Splunk technology to deliver customer value.
Datacom says that by deploying Splunk’s cybersecurity capabilities, it can combine its services with cloud, networking, software engineering and more, while improving customer engagement and experience. Collaboration enables Datacom to deliver Splunk’s cloud-based analytics-based (SIEM) security information and event management platform, enabling businesses to monitor, detect, investigate and respond to cyber threats .
Datacom also offers Splunk SOAR, a security, orchestration, automation and response platform that improves security efficiency and productivity by automating monotonous security tasks and accelerating response times.
“This partnership is a testament to Datacom’s confidence in the capabilities and technologies of Splunk,” said Simon Eid, vice president of Splunk ANZ.
“We are excited to be working with Datacom to further strengthen their cybersecurity offerings and enable customers to proactively and effectively mitigate cyberthreats. “
Datacom says that applying Splunk’s technology to various scenarios can serve a broader purpose in the customer’s environment. For example, when Splunk is primarily deployed for security, Datacom can extend the solution to improve application performance management, focus on financial resiliency, and identify anomalies in user behavior.
