Infostretch has created a software platform that connects volunteers and support partners with those in need
As part of its philanthropic Ignite program, Infostretch has partnered with INDIASHIELD to support the expansion of its citizen-led COVID assistance services across India. The service is run entirely by volunteers (currently a team of over 500 people involved), all of whom aim to both mitigate the impact of the pandemic and save lives.
The service bridges the gap between those seeking help and providers of emergency medical resources. The support provided can range from providing accurate information about immunization options to checking the availability of hospital beds so that a person in need of medical care can access help, close to home. his location. To date, INDIASHIELD has facilitated over 1,500 hospital bed reservations, over 3,000 ambulance reservations and provided support to hospitals and organizations in need of COVID-related resources across India.
INDIASHIELD works with citizens of 150 cities and has over 100 partners in its alliance, working together to provide support and assistance to those seeking help across India. Infostretch has created a software platform that connects volunteers and support partners with those in need.
INDIASHIELD has now taken on 114,000 requests for help, including 74,000 in the past two months, as India treated the Delta variant of the virus.
