- Nishad party leader is upset his son was not included in the Union cabinet
- He said he shared his views with JP Nadda and Amit Shah
- Sanjay Nishad’s son Praveen is an MP for Sant Kabir Nagar of the UP
Gorakhpur:
Nishad Party leader Sanjay Nishad, a BJP ally, expressed disappointment over the absence of his son and MP Praveen Nishad in the Union cabinet after the reshuffle.
He asked if Anupriya Patel from Apna Dal (Sonelal) could be included in the Union Council of Ministers, why not Praveen Nishad.
“If Apna Dal’s Anupriya Patel (Sonelal) could get a place in the cabinet, then why MP Praveen Nishad cannot? The residents of the Nishad community are already abandoning the BJP and if the party does not rectify its errors, they will suffer the consequences in the next ballot in the Assembly, ”he declared.
He said Praveen Nishad enjoys popularity in over 160 seats while “Anupriya Patel in only a few (assembly) seats”.
He added that he had shared his views with BJP President JP Nadda and Union Interior Minister Amit Shah.
“It’s their turn to decide. However, I have every confidence in them to take care of Praveen Nishad,” he said.
At present, the NISHAD (Nirbal Indian Shoshit Hamara Aam Dal) party has a deputy in the UP Legislative Assembly.
Sanjay Nishad’s son, Praveen, is a member of Parliament for Sant Kabir Nagar. Praveen Nishad had won the seat of Gorakhpur in an indirect ballot as a candidate of the Samajwadi party and he was supported by the BSP, as part of the grand alliance between the two parties.
Gorakhpur Lok Sabha’s seat fell vacant after BJP MP Yogi Adityanath was elected chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
A few days ago, while speaking to reporters in Ballia, Sanjay Nishad said: “Our alliance with the BJP will continue. We were with the BJP, we are also with the BJP today and we will stay with it. our community is moving away from BJP. The Congress, the SP and the BSP have deceived our community and now it feels like the BJP is deceiving them too. “
