NEW YORK, October 7, 2021 / PRNewswire / – To resolve, the leading virtual reality solution that allows operations teams to review 3D design models before construction, announced a corporate partnership with Anglian Water @an alliance. Anglie water, one of the UK’s largest water suppliers, and @one Alliance design and build partners adopt Resolve to boost operations contribution to designs, which can reduce re-builds and improve the efficiency and safety of operations.
Resolve’s support for complex models on stand-alone virtual reality devices allows teams to interact with building information models (BIMs) more independently, even when working remotely. With Resolve, teams can perform a Safe to Operate virtual procedure to report accessibility and safety issues before construction. Resolve connects to Anglian Water’s common data environment for BIM to integrate seamlessly with existing workflows.

Resolve was piloted by two sites that discovered its benefits in helping operations staff take a more active role in the design process. Staff working from home looked at water supply systems in an immersive way rather than through screen sharing. Previous solutions required a centralized VR setup in an office requiring travel, but the intuitive Resolve platform and standalone Oculus Quest make it easy to adapt VR to projects across the portfolio.
