PATNA: The rift between two major National Democratic Alliance (NDA) allies – BJP and JD-U – in Bihar is widening day by day with BJP Head of State Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal in a oblique reference to two senior JD-U officials, asking them to stay within bounds.
“Stop playing Twitter game (with Prime Minister) or 76 lakh of BJP employees in Bihar will respond,” Jaiswal said in his latest post on his social media account on Monday. Jaiswal didn’t stop there and added, “I’m sure you will be careful in the future.”
The BJP’s warning came in response to repeated request by senior JD-U officials, including National President Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh and Chairman of the Party’s Parliamentary Council Upendra Kushwaha, to the President, Prime Minister and Union government to remove the Padma Shri from noted playwright Daya Prakash Sinha for the latter’s remarks against Emperor Ashoka.
Amid differences between the BJP and JD-U, Lok Janshakti (Ram Vilas) party leader Chirag Paswan has demanded the imposition of presidential power in Bihar following the deteriorating law and order situation public in the state. Government orders demolition of homes in disaster area
