The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce (SCV Chamber) announced Monday that its Latino Business Alliance’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration Awards and Networking Reception will take place next month.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. at Tesoro Adobe Historic Park, according to SCV Chamber officials.
Each year, the Latino Business Alliance kicks off National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, by appreciating the Latino community and their contributions to the Santa Clarita Valley, officials say.
“Latin Americans continue to contribute to the prosperity and culture of the United States and the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Liz Seelman, president of the Latino Business Alliance. “We are proud to once again host our annual celebration to network and honor the accomplishments of Latin American businesses in the Santa Clarita Valley.”
This year, the Latino Business Alliance is pleased to honor Frank Oviedo with the Community Leader and Henry Rodriguez State Farm Agency Award for Business of the Year, officials said.
The celebration should include a networking reception with food and drinks, followed by a short presentation and dancing.
“We encourage our entire business community to come celebrate with us at our annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration and honor this year’s honorees,” said Ivan Volschenk, President and CEO of the Chamber SCV.
The SCV Chamber also welcomes Sand Canyon back as title sponsor. Additional sponsors include Chiquita Canyon, City of Santa Clarita, Dignity Memorial, FivePoint, Northeast Valley Health Corporation, Premier America Credit Union, Southern California Edison, Supervisor Kathryn Barger, and UCLA Health. Sponsorships are currently available and can be requested via email [email protected].
Tickets are available for purchase on the SCV Chambers website.
