Fujitsu and KDDI Leverage 5G Technologies in Partnership to Solve Social Problems

Global ICT giant Fujitsu has made two strategic appointments to its Australian and New Zealand healthcare team as part of its healthcare expansion ANZ.

Fujitsu announced the appointment of Ian manovel as head of industry, health, Australia and New Zealand and Anthony Wang as Director of Digital Transformation, Health, Australia & New Zealand.

Manovel has worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years, including 12 years as a hospital and community pharmacist in Australia and the UK.

“As an entrepreneur, he founded drug management, training and consulting companies. In his most recent role as a healthcare industry partner for DXC Technology, Ian has engaged with leadership teams to drive transformation projects into government and healthcare consulting, ” Fujitsu said.

“His previous roles include Senior Director of Healthcare Innovation at Accenture, Head of Healthcare Industry at NPS MedicineWise, and Associate Director of Analytics and Business Development at Bupa.”

Wang (pictured above) joins Fujitsu with over 20 years of experience developing and implementing corporate IT strategies. After graduating in medicine and working as a doctor, he obtained a degree in computer engineering.

“He has held positions at AMP Financial Services, Optus and Accenture. In his most recent role as CTO at Ramsay Health Care, Anthony led large-scale digital initiatives including the first doctor-based mobile app to access the Australian Federal Government’s My Health Record and the first digital patient flow program in Australian private hospitals, ”said Fujitsu.
