Vanderburgh County Women’s Fund accepts grant applications

The Vanderburgh Community Foundation is now accepting online applications for the Vanderburgh County Women’s Fund grant program. Grant applications must be submitted before 5 p.m. on Friday July 30 and must be completed online via the Foundation’s website. The Women’s Fund will award two impact grants of $ 35,000 at its annual meeting in November – one for a project (investment) and one for a program.

Attention will be given to organizations that demonstrate:

  • Commitment to long-term planning, financial stability and sustainability
  • Solid plan to address ongoing or emerging issues that have been identified by the research
  • Robust and realistic plan for project evaluation
  • Desire to promote collaboration between organizations or institutions to avoid duplication of services
  • Project methodology using a preventative approach to tackle the problem and solve the problems
  • Evidence of realistic organizational planning and management

The Vanderburgh County Women’s Fund is a fund of the Vanderburgh Community Foundation.

The Vanderburgh Community Foundation is one of nine regional counties affiliated with the Community Foundation Alliance. The Alliance owns more than 1,200 named funds created by individuals, families, businesses, civic groups and agencies to improve the quality of life in Southwest Indiana, with charitable assets of over $ 118 million. In our last fiscal year, grants and scholarships awarded by all Alliance funds to benefit programs, projects and individuals in the nine affiliated counties totaled over $ 3.7 million. The Alliance provides management, administration and development expertise and services, so that each local affiliate foundation can focus on promoting philanthropy, endowment building and grant making, making a difference in their community today and for years to come.
