MGP says it is ready to ally with the BJP if 12 seats are allocated

PONDA: Maharashtrawadi Gomantak (MGP) party leader Sudin Dhavalikar has said the party is ready to form an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) if it allocates 12 seats for the Assembly elections. State of 2022.
Addressing the media after the inauguration of the “Diwali Bazaar” in the Dhavlim Sarvajanik Ganeshotav Mandal Hall, he said the MGP had asked to contest 12 seats in front of all political parties interested in forming an alliance with the regional party.
“We shared our views with all parties, including the BJP, Congress, AAP and TMC, who discussed the alliance. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will arrive in the state tomorrow and we will discuss the pre-vote alliance. Without the support of the MGP, no political party can form a government in Goa, ”said Dhavalikar.
Sudin said he enjoys friendly relations with Gadkari and that it is thanks to this relationship and the support of the former chief minister, the late Manohar Parrikar, that Goa was able to obtain Rs 12,000 crore from the government of the ‘Union for the Development of Roads and Bridges.
Dhavalikar said in the future that he would also use this relationship to leverage additional funds from the Goa Development Center.
Sudin said Gadkari is visiting the state to inaugurate various projects such as NH’s missing link of Verna-Loutolim-Borim.
He said: “IDC Goa was to spend Rs 180 crore on this link, but I opposed the tender as it was an NH job. At my request, the Union government sanctioned money for this missing link and the Goa government thus saved Rs 180 crore.
