Washoe Meadow Cleanup

We invite you to lend a hand and help the Alliance, Sierra Club Tahoe Area Groupand Sierra State Parks Foundation Tuesday, August 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a litter cleanup event at Washoe Meadows State Park in southern Lake Tahoe.

You can help clean up the park and protect Big Blue!


Sierra Nevada Alliance Conservation Conference

Registrations are now open for the 2022 Sierra Nevada Alliance Conservation Conference September 15 and 16.

The conference is a place to deepen environmental conversations for the Sierra and advance important initiatives. Presenters include naturalists, artists, outdoor enthusiasts, conservationists, agencies, non-profit organizations, policy directors, communications professionals, environmental justice leaders, scientists and friends of the Sierra.

We are delighted to announce our first keynote speaker, Obi Kaufmanwho will speak on Friday September 16 on the creation of unity as a strategy for the conservation and protection of the Sierra Nevada.

Great Sierra River Cleanup

The GSRC is one of many California Coastal Cleanup Day Events. Previously hosted by Sierra Nevada ConservancyThe Sierra Nevada Alliance is very excited to host the GSRC this year and continue statewide efforts to reduce plastic pollution and litter in and around our Sierra waterways.

Do you love Lake Tahoe and paddle boarding? We invite you to join the 2022 Tahoe Cup – Lake Crossing from September 26 to 28!

Paddlers participating in the Tahoe Waterman Lake Crossing event go the extra mile this year to paddle Lake Tahoe and raise vital funds for the Sierra Nevada Alliance.

You can start with raise funds as an individual paddler, team or donor. They even have a relay option this year for those who want to race as a team.

You don’t pay? You can still sign up as a fundraiser and have your miles counted on your bike, dog walk, run, or any other way you want. So please jump on the generosity bandwagon and raise funds to help build climate resilience and protect the clarity of Lake Tahoe today!
